ROBUST VIRAL INACTIVATION AND REMOVAL TO MINIMIZE RISK OF VIRAL TRANSMISSION
After 40 years and millions of doses administered, there has still never been a documented case of viral transmission with RhoGAM® Brand. One of the reasons the safety record of RhoGAM® Brand remains the same is because the safety measures don’t. New innovations and improvements are continually incorporated into the manufacturing process of RhoGAM® Brand. The manufacturing process for RhoGAM® Ultra-Filtered PLUS includes three keys steps:
- Exclusive Viresolve™ 180 ultrafiltration process that removes both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses including but not limited to hepatitis A
- CorrTest™ quality control check confirms the integrity of the Viresolve™ filter
- Viral inactivation method proven effective against second enveloped viruses including West Nile virus
In addition to the RhoGAM® Brand manufacturing process, other safety features include a latex-free, preservative-free delivery system. Finally, RhoGAM® Brand does not include human serum albumin.
